The food was not bad. There is nothing special here. I just think this restaurant is a little too big for their britches. It’s way overpriced for what you get. $50 for fillet that is the size of 2 silver dollars. Come on Everything is small portions and you pay higher prices for. It’s not that good. I would rather spend my money at other restaurants such as The Block, Carvers, The Cliff Dining Pub. etc. way for value for money and food that is just as good if not better

I’ve been to La Jolla Groves several times now over the last 7-10 years and have usually had a good experience but our meal last night was not up to par. Our rolls were forgotten, the tortellini was undercooked with over cooked chicken, and our server had to remind the kitchen about our dessert several times. Overall, really sad to have this experience when prices have increased significantly but service has declined. Service: Dine in
