When we ascended the stairs to the third floor of Los Arbolitos, we couldn't believe the amazing view. Our table overlooked the the flowering trees along the river across the street. We could hear the water as it flowed out to sea. Jorge very graciously sat us and informed us we should try the best margaritas in town, so we did. They were very good especially as we chomped on our chips and guacamole. We both ordered lobster. They were grilled perfectly and came with delicious vegetables and rice. Jorge noticed us enjoying the music and informed us it he who was singing it! Some years back he was in the music business. He proceeded to grab a guitar and sing a few songs. His voice is still quite good!We really liked this place, the food and ambiance were all very nice, but we were the only people enjoying it! It is festively decorated and the bar area is charming. It was a Monday night and the restaurant is off the beaten track, so we hope they can stay afloat while they rebuild their clientele.Definitely worth it to make it to this unique and festive restaurant...we will go back before we leave!
It's true - Los Arbolitos is reopened. Just as good as we remembered it - perhaps even better. A jem of a location with a view over the river and it's like you are miles out of the city. The food is amazing; the restaurant cozy and the service is even better than I remembered. Ask Jorge (the gentleman who has reopened this amazing place) about the music playing - you might get a personal performance. This place defined PV for us, and i am so happy it's back. Worth the walk - and if you don't order the Tortilla Soup, you are missing out.
Great atmosphere and they really go out of their way to please with the menu for special requests and provide live music that is free????. A mariachi !
