This is a good place for some decent ceviche and a cold beer. Located between the ferry station and bus station so if on the way between the two, this is a decent option. As others have said, the 23% added on for taxes etc. is fairly ridiculous but, unfortunately, fairly common in Costa Rica. Really frustrating when places can't put the full price down on the menu.
Be careful with this place. They add 23% to the price for taxes and service Food is ok, nothing special.
I have been visiting the palce for well 50 years...always the same great quility. Of course the best CEVICHES in town..
So, you 're just off the ship for a day and you 're hungry.... Here 's the go-to place in Puntarenas. We been to Puntarenas so many times... at first getting a bite at one of the restaurants along the beach, stretching from the port. BUT, then we found Cevichito Bar Restaurant THE place for the locals. It 's a short walk from the cruise pier. It 's a real restaurant. And, they 've got all of the local dishes. BUT MOST IMPORTANT they offer the freshest and tastiest fish and sea food in Puntaenas. Seating is plentiful and comfortable. Wait staff is friendly, and I noticed that at least one spoke English. Try it. You 'll like it.
