Gruto's - Purcellville

Reliable soft operation with an extensive menu and room for customizing what you want. Servings are a little expensive for ice, but in line with the area, so you can expect to pay similar prices when you go for ice instead of taking a few home out of the grocery store. There is usually a line out of the door, but it moves quickly. During the COVID there is a six-person limit in the shop, and the staff respects the personal space. The walls are strongly decorated and many people seem to enjoy the decoration while waiting for their ice cream. I think there's also a menu for dogs.

I love Grutos. Your soft offer is affordable and tasty, and staff are always really friendly. Portion sizes are also usually quite good, with a child size cone sometimes much more than I would expect (this can depend on who works, though)!

We love the mother and pop feeling of this ice cream shop in the heart of downtown Purcellville. Staff are friendly and always greet us with great smiles. The soft portion is delicious and they have a variety of toppings and options on the menu of cups and bowls to shake and sunflowers.

It is my family's favorite place to get a treat - the ice cream is absolutely delicious (my favorite is the sundae of reese with chocolate and vanilla twist) and the people who own it are really nice. It is also fun to eat it outside the shop, sitting in sunshine while the locals are passing - it is the best place to see! There is Purcellville such a small city feel--I highly recommend it!

It’s hard not to be in love with this spot. My littles can’t pass the shop without pining for the soft serve goodness. Soft serve is so nostalgic to me and this little shop takes me right back to my childhood...only Grutos has way more flavors And sweet treats!
