There is no rush when you eat fondue; expect to be there for a few hours and enjoy the swiss vibe and all the cheese. Chalet type decor with lots of wood accents and cozy feel. Get the table by the window for a nice view. On the menu; the triplette is the way to go. You get cheese fondue to start, followed by meat fondue and to finish maple or chocolate fondue! Enjoy :
I had such a great experience. Just called for a reservation for thanksgiving holiday, we went for the fondue and were surprised with the great atmosphere, service and delicious food. The waitresses were so nice with us, they had patience explaining the menu and how things works and we were very well welcomed to the restaurant. I would definitely come back to taste a different meal from the menu and have another great night. Merci beaucoup guys!
We spent an afternoon walking around Old Quebec and when evening came and we started to feel hungry we turned to a local for a restaurant recommendation. He in turn called his wife who was born and raised in Old Quebec. She recommended La Grolla ... what better a recommendation! The kind gentleman that we had stopped in the street even called the restaurant and made a reservation. The restaurant was cozy with a warm ambiance. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu. She was impressive for her good English that she had learned simply through serving in the restaurant. We ordered the triple fondue ... a cheese fondue followed by a seafood fondue followed by the most important, a chocolate fondue. Our evening was superb, totally un-rushed with just the right amount of service. This restaurant is highly recommended.
Great service and food had the fondue chinoise trio Quebec cheese fondue and desert !
I had dinner here with a group of friends. The size of the party, our inexperience with Swiss foods fondue, plus the fact that none of us could speak French, could have very well lead us to some difficulty. But that wasn’t the case here. Our server, Alexandra, was phenomenal, as well as the other staff assisting her. She was so helpful, patient, funny (joked around with us), make great recommendations, was clearly very skilled at her job. The food was SO tasty. The atmosphere was superb. It’s a hole in the wall, feels very comfortable, welcoming, authentic. Wonderful experience all around.
