The kids loved the special room they had, we had such special times there and at the Great Escape. The kids said the beds were so comfortable, the things to do in the Lodge were endless and even a wonderful band Saturday night was great. The kids and I danced the whole time. There was even a wedding there and I got the privilege of watching the bride's pictures with her father. It was beautiful. 2024 will be our 3rd year to continue our tradition. We are all looking forward to it.
Super nice ŵorkers. They go above and beyond for the guests. My kids wanna go again soon. They stayed in the water park all day, didn't even wanna leave the lodge to go sightseeing through Lake George.
We stayed 2 nights/3 days at great escape lodge which included for us the water parks /theme park parking and breakfast. Honestly not worth it for 700 USD 1000 canadian yes 6flags was fun and we came foe our kids but it opens late 11am and closes early. 5pm which family friendly amusements parl open at 11am? We dealt wt it but thats not cool. There's NOTHING to do at night passed 5pm inside the lodge and indoor water park which closes at 7. So once ur done doing water/theme park and rides.ur basically done. We did mini putt and arcades near by but that's pretty much it so unless u have a car your stuck inside. Suggestions: Add a kids clubs Add an arcade room Add a small area for soccer or some outdoor sport An outdoor patio wt music even if just the radio Add smtg that families can do passed 6pm. It's a family resort but yet families wonder wt do do passed 5pm. It's not all babies that go to sleep early. Pretty disappointed for that. Let me not even talk abt the breakfast Yes it's included but it's NOT good. I'm not picky at all but eggs that r so hard and rubbery that I can hit u and hurt u wt them..sausage that's an unpleasant color to even taste and toast, bagels , cereals and cofee. Besides banana no fruits..no healthy choices. Very disappointed. Reduce ur prices and have pple not choose breakfast to compensation for the difference. Basically stuck eating 3 meals out and oh 6 flaggs doesn't allow snacks or pick nick so unless u eat b4/after ur stuck paying for overpriced junk..the outsoor water park was less severe in allowin in snacks so we had some kids snacks but that's abt it. I packed ahead leaving from home and stacked the hotel fridge so we had a few options to relay on A Starbucks on site wt very expensive overpriced coffee and we have starbucks in Canada so even wt the conversion rate still . No healthy options..no breakfast options outside of donout and sugary options so again unless u have a car and go out or eat the crappy breakfast there's no other choices. My 5yo had a blast but will I come back..no. would I recommend it def No! And the hotel room, standard room needs some TLC. Clean but old and dated Even for a lodge. No working plugs at all. Crackling plaster walls. Tub/shower combo falling apart..Couldn't charge our devices outside of 1 sink outlet that we used on rotation. The staff isn't knowledgeable that much and not very sociable eighter. Overall ok but won't be back!
A good replacement for great wolf lodge for Canadians that do not want to drive through TO to get to Niagara. Close to Montreal and ottawa no more than 4 hour drive. Staff were friendly. The hotel is tired looking but not surprised with amount of families that come through it. They do have plenty of staff cleaning and providing services. They offered an add on for breakfast 25 plus tax for the whole family it was worth it. Do bring your own snacks, drink bottles etc to save some because everything on site is expensive. We didn’t eat at the restaurants on-site. We stayed two nights because we did not want to be rushed it was our start to summer vacation. If you get the passes with your stay you have access before checkin and after checkout which is great. Outdoor waterpark closes at 5pm, amusement park at 6pm and indoor waterpark 8pm. There is an arcade too. So plan your arrival accordingly to maximize your access and time.
Room was clean. Check in/out both times was quite lengthy needs to be worked on. Indoor/outdoor parks were fine...we had fun. Wish they had better coffee in room or complimentary coffee in lobby. Starbucks in lobby was overpriced moreso than if you drove to one down the street.
