An excellent place to dine. Not a fancy place. But bustling with people all the time. Quick service with absolutely fresh fish dishes. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Prawns Rawa Fry

Been visiting this place for the last six years. We went for lunch on a Weekday Thursday. More popular for lunch. The vibe is of a local street tavern with plastic chairs tables, asbestos roofing, coconut trees field bylane vicinity, soft drinks beer crates are the props and old timer chaps sipping on their beer or quarter while giving a load of the local gossip are the staple. These things translate into a chilled, Susegad, relaxed Goan atmosphere. No music, decoration, ambience or even a Menu card. Simple order, eat, drink leave. Basically a Goan Thali and fish fry outlet. Served in steel cutlery. With not much presentation or aesthetics. Just simple stomach full of wholesome, home cooked meal. The Fish Thali had: Rice, Fish fry (fresh), Fish Curry, Cabbage sabzi, Tisryo Sukke, sukka Prawns Kismoor, Tivil (kokam coolant), salad pickle. Standard pricing Rs. 250 any thali. We had a Kingfish and a Modso thaali. One point less for Fish curry with no fish piece, only radish tomatoes chunks (ideally Goan fish curry uses kokam or imli instead of tomatoes) and was watery not thick. Parking: Limited parking especially for cars. The road outside is narrow winding. Advisable to park outside Shantadurga temple walk up for two minutes.
