Even tho the sign for their name was not yet completed, making it a bit of a challenge, it was certainly well worth it. (We’ll probably stop in tomorrow on our return trip. The menu was varied, with sufficient vegetarian choices for my wife. I was enticed by the Deluxe Frito Pie, very interesting and very good. My wife had a Spanish omelet, also very good. Staff was great, both waitress and Bobby were very friendly. Highly recommend, maybe we’ll see you there tomorrow.
Based on the name (sounds like a candy shop), I was hesitant to give this restaurant a try, but it turned out to be a great option for late breakfast/brunch. Good coffee, excellent huevos rancheros, and giant pancakes. The restaurant seemed understaffed and service was a little slow, but this wasn't a big issue for us. Customers can pay by scanning the QR code on their receipt.
I really love Pappas Sweet Shop. The food there is amazing! I think the homemade bread is better than any store-bought bread. The burgers are to die for and the waiters/waitresses are very sweet people. I believe the owner(s) are doing a wonderful job with the establishment. I can't wait to eat there again.Kid-friendliness: The chicken strips and hot dogs are great for the kids. Those who like TV are able to watch and the french fries? What child doesn't like french friesParking: The parking lot is sizable and there are multiple doors for entry so it doesn't matter where the customer parks.Wheelchair accessibility: The front door is a set of doors that allows for wheelchairs to enter and exit.
Delicious green chile huevos rancheros for breakfast. Friendly service and fair prices. Delightful small town cafe atmosphere; clearly a popular place with the locals. Very happy that I came here. I'll be back!
Was on my way to Colorado Springs and decided to stop in Raton for some lunch. It's not right off of I-25, but it's close. The food was good, I had stacked enchiladas and my companions had burgers. Portion sizes we on the larger side, and that's good. Disappointing part was the glacially slow service. We were in the restaurant for over an hour at lunch time. Like I said, the food was good, but I would recommend that you make sure to have plenty of time before you need to be somewhere.
