Virgos Cafe - Redcar and Cleveland

This is the second time I have visited this little undiscovered gem. Extensive menu but I have had the halloumi kebabs on Greek salad and it has been perfect both times. Lovely staff! Highly recommend it!!

I visited the restaurant for their Summer Special Menu, which had a Greek theme and all the dishes were cooked perfectly. The chicken gyros was a standout dish and I highly recommend it. The service was also excellent.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. I can tell the food is top-notch when my partner has nothing but good things to say and lets me enjoy every bite. The menu offers a variety of options at affordable prices. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The intimate setting makes it the perfect spot for a romantic date night.

The fillet steak itself was dry and bland, with no seasoning, and the vegetables, although cooked well, lacked flavor as well. The staff did not inquire about our satisfaction with the meal, indicating they may have already been aware of the poor quality. We decided to skip dessert and coffee, and instead fed half of my steak to my dogs for their supper. I have had great meals in Saltburn in the past, but this was not one of them and was quite expensive for the disappointing experience. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning made for a very uncomfortable dining atmosphere.

I visited Virgo's last night and will definitely be returning! It truly is a gem of Saltburn. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the specials board the hardest part was deciding what to order! Everything was exceptional from the moment we stepped in; the ambience, the service we received from Jan who took great care of us, to the outstanding food. Absolutely amazing and I can't wait to go again.
