The gnocchi was judged light and delicious by a regular consumer. My spare ribs were slightly spicy and not covered in a sugary gooey sauce, they were fantastic. We enjoyed it so much we also shared dessert and had a coffee.
A really great chef hidden away in a beautiful setting, every meal I have had there has been terrific . Can thoroughly recommend for lunch for a couple or a group.
Love this place. Great food and nice wine pairings. Recommend the sparkling wine and the gnocchi. Great dog
We had a fantastic start to our visit at this restaurant when Harvey, the owners' black lab, greeted us and led us to the café. We chose to sit outside and were delighted to have Harvey sleeping at our feet at our request. The owner made sure we were comfortable with Harvey's presence, as not everyone may be a fan of dogs. The service was excellent, especially from the two new girls who were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, particularly the gnocchi which was the best I've ever had, and the okonomiyaki was a unique and tasty dish. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, even just for dessert or coffee, and it's not far from Albany. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. We regret not taking Harvey with us when we left, as he added such a lovely touch to the establishment with his gentle demeanor.
Based on the recommendation of friends, my wife and I decided to visit Phillips Brook Estate for lunch. We discovered that the restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, offering "rustic" meals, morning and afternoon tea, and wine tasting. We enjoyed a Phillips Brook Traminer Riesling with our meal, which was delicious. The menu offers a variety of food options, and I opted for the Japanese street food dish called Okonomiyaki, which was bacon and bonito on a pancake with bean sprouts. It was light and satisfying. My wife chose the baked Brie with accompaniments, which was also delicious. The venue has a rustic bushland setting, making it perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.
