When SavorHour.com was recently invited to the gentle opening of Rita’s Ice in Redondo Beach, we knew we were there for a great experience. We were thrilled with this special invitation because we had previously visited several Rita’s Ice locations in the south-east. So we knew what we did for... everything delicious! Owners Jake Cosme and Josh Pascua are life friends and veterans of the Iraq war. We had the pleasure of meeting these two gentlemen, and they could not have been nicer, more accommodating or excited about their new company. Jake first discovered Ritas when he took part in the Marine Academy in Maryland. And as we, he could not stop thinking what a wonderful experience that had to offer according to his first taste what Rita had to offer. Now the second store in California (the first one that opened in Santa Clarita about a week ago, Jake and Josh burst into the community with a fresh takeover of traditional frozen treats. Mark your calendar for the planned 17. May Grand Opening Date, because this will be a big hit in the Redondo Beach area. Our journey from Brentwood to Rita's Ice proved to be a good 20-mile journey. And we will do it again when the location in May opens the full time. Rita's Ice came to Philadelphia in 1984 and began franchising in 1989. Since then, this popular chain of frozen treats has not slowed down, it is pace or it is success.
