Curlew Lake State Park - Republic

Very nice and clean campground! It has showers and from my experience, you get quite a bit of time for the money on them. We didn’t luck out with fishing but I’ve heard from many that it’s an excellent fishing lake. Great views. Tent only campsites are nice just off the lake, but you have to walk about 30-40 yards from the car to the site. I would recommend this place. Was on the expensive side, I think it was 25$ for one tent campsite...

It was very quiet, perfect for relaxing and swimming and hiking , We had a lot of fun , We really liked this place

Nice clean park, good shower and great water access for the lake and lots of fresh water posts scattered around the campsites, note that the cheaper campsites are less separate than the more expensive pull in spots, think a big field with grass and a parking area for the cars but worth it if you’re looking for savings. Quite place with a good view, no cell service or wifi but there’s service 10 minutes away towards republic.

Curlew lake would be more fun if you have a boat and don't have the luxury of staring at the water from the shoreline. The swimming spot had lots of cool algae growths that I decided not to brave. So, we cooled off with the water guns we brought. We walked the pier and I think the green forest was thicker. I make it a habit to not swim in water that I feel could use a good lawn mowing on the surface. Clean bathrooms and functioning showers to clean the brave or foolish.

Beautiful state park. Well kept, very clean. Just used day use, with a nice grass and swim area. Bathrooms with showers right there.
