I'm actually quite surprised at some of the things that seem to appear on Trip-Advisor, particularly since I would hardly say that Reservoir is any sort of tourist attraction, but sure enough, here is the Alour Cafe. I must say that it isn't a bad cafe, but it certainly isn't one of the best. In a way it is no different to a number of other cafes in the area - with the exception that it is open on weekends, which is always a good thing (since I am generally at work on the weekdays). They did make a fairly decent breakfast, which I did quite enjoy, and it was fairly prompt as well. What is also cool is the free wi-fi - not theirs but the council's, which meant that I could finish off some work while chomping away at my breakfast. I'm sure to come down here again sometime for a bite to eat though.
A lovely family run cafe we go her that often that Peter the owner knows us by name now.
I'm not really sure how long this place has been around, but I had been meaning to check it out ever since I discovered that it suddenly appeared.
It’s really a family run cafe. Got the cutest aesthetic and feels really homely. Staff are great and friendly. Food is nice. for the iced coffee and chocolate. Super refreshing on a hot day and not too sweet either. Also look at how big this omelette is. It’s actually enormous and they’ve got enough mushrooms in there to knock out a horse. Keep up the great work. Definitely worth a visit. If you live around Reservoir, I can’t possibly understand why this isn’t your go-to Saturday brunch spot.
