I already wrote a review on Google and complained to the consumer office (becaue they did not have did not want to give me the complaints book). Not recommended!
I look at the pictures at the food other people had and wonder if we were in the same place! Our waiter appeared to have been the owner and was friendly, but there was no written menu that we were offered. The sole offerings for the evening were very limited, so we ended up with soup for a starter, which was tasty. We then had chicken, fixed very plainly. For dessert, as I'm lactose intolerant, I had 2 pieces of fruit. My husband was given a Cornetto. I speak quite fluent Spanish so if other offerings were there, I think it would have been explained. Indeed, it was like going to your grandparents to eat, but I'd been looking for something with a bit more choice as the reviews in Spanish had said how great it was for Gallego cuisine. Off the beaten path it definitely is, but a hidden gem? You'll have to form your own opinion. Especially if you don't speak Spanish, I can't recommend it, and even if you do.....still confused. Hey, Trip Advisor, I want to say the food is Galician or at least regional Spanish, but you won't let me.
My wife and I were fortunate to find Casa Domingo while walking the Comino Del Norte from Bilboa to Santiago. This a simply a wonderful discovery. The rooms were fine and reasonably priced, but we were most impressed by the mid-day lunch. It was bountiful, farm fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Both our appetites were satisfied until the next morning. The hospitality was sincere and welcoming. Casa Domingo was a highlight of our thirty day trip through Spain.
