The dumplings had delicious soup, none of them fell apart, and the dumpling skin was the perfect thickness (medium-thin). We also had the sheng jian bao, which had a nice crispy base and a pretty big ball of well flavored, juicy pork. It quite amazing to see the staff crank out order after order in their small space.
Tried it and was really surprised at how good the food was. We had the Xiao Lung Bao XLB), Pan Fried Pork Buns and Marinated beef in a bun 1, 2, 3 on the menu). The XLB was very good. The size was just right, lots of juice in each one and the skin was thick enough to hold it all together. The skin was just a tad thick on top which was the only distraction but the flavour and amount of juice was good. The Pan Fried Pork buns were just as good. The bread wasn't overwhelming and the taste was good. The Marinated beef was very tender and tasty. We thought there was a strong smell of cumin but it didn't overwhelm the meat flavour. Quite enjoyable and looking forward to trying some of their other dishes. I would recommend you try it. They also have batches of frozen dumplings to take home.
I enjoyed a delicious spicy beef soup which, to my surprise, included coriander/cilantro (my favourite seasoning), and other delicious tastes. Additionally, the older gentleman who served me was very professional, efficient and kind. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone. There was a lot food and it was deeeelicious!
Came here for the XLBs as I've heard this place has one of the best in the city. They were right. Will come back again.
We came by this stall during our visit to the Lansdowne Mall. We really liked the Shanghai dumplings and the pork with chive dumplings. The pancakes and braised beef noodle soup were average. Overall, the prices are really great and the food was fresh. We'll come back again.
