A BC-Institution since 1928, White Spot is a long way since Nat Bailey sells hot dogs and burgers from the back of his model T. Century White Spot developed into an internationally recognized brand with modern and advanced...Menu, casual and relaxed atmosphere and friendly, warm staff. But the more things change, the more they stay the same: The modern menu can be gluten-friendly, vegan and vegetarian options, but the legendary burgers and milkshakes are still the main drawing. In fact, their burgers restored Vancouver Magazine’s list of “Best Burgers in Vancouver” and won the renowned Georgia Straight “Golden Plate Award” for “best burgers” in 2021. In a culinary landscape like Vancouver I would say that is quite high praise – and it is definitely well deserved. While it can't be trendy or upscale, White Spot checks all the right boxes where it counts most: consistency of the product and dedicated customer service. In fact, that's why we always come back. When we protected the situation in Richmond Centre, we were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed, given a good table and presented with the menus. When revising the menu, I was disappointed to see that the wildly popular Nobashi shrimps were replaced by coconut brews, but we did not come specifically for it; but we came for a legendary burger and the signature Chicken, Broccoli and cheese dish. Both came in good time – about 10 minutes – and were Vintage White Spot. The legendary burger with its secret triple-O sauce was perfect: The bungalow was soft, the patty was well spiced, and the tangy triple-O sauce added the entire burger. It is little wonder that White Spot Burger regularly make “best” lists in this province. Of course, not to overdo the chicken, broccoli and cheese, likewise, meet all the right notes. The chicken was tender and tasteful; the broccoli boiled to the correct temperature; the sauce was creamy; and the light bread crust tubs added some beautiful texture to the dish. In short, we were more than satisfied with our meals. FOOD: 5/5 SERVICE: 4/5 VALUE: 5/5 RECOMMENDATION: Since the COVID pandemic continues to swing, with “homed comfort” as found at White Spot can do a lot to nourish both mind and body. This is twice important in the hectic holiday season. The location at Richmond Centre offers a warm and welcome repressor. Very recommended! Richmond centre bc location is really bad service smart. the waitresses are all in a clique! one of the waitresses jackie! She gives such a jammed attitude and even puts a tip on her bill before they even pay without they know! she doesn't want to ask you if you need anything! she's so snob that she behaves as if she had the place. the waitresses treat you as if you were on the move when you were hiding there. stephany behaves as if she is entitled to get a tap, no matter what they don't want to give them the choice of his much if they even want to give her a tap. this situation is no longer welcome for customers who are very sad! Previously it was better than this year! the employees seem to hate their jobs and even the manager tony is on their side not the customer when a complaining is filed! the waitresses also speak loudly about their customers who give unkindly unwilling comments! jackie also made my dessert gone too hot and took 20 minutes to eat the apple cake I ordered! I do not recommend to come here! the fish and chips made my fiance sick for a week 4 days ago. we told jackie about it when she was the waitress and laughed about it!
We were visiting Vancouvet and noticed several of these restaurants throughout the city. Similar to a Perkins or Smitty's from Manitoba. This was easy to locate as it was a mall location. We were greeted and seated quickly. We decided to share a breakfast. Just...shy of $15 for 2 eggs, bacon, smashed potatoes and starch (toast, pancake or 1/2 waffle). The quality of food was good, although the price was quite high. Our server was efficient and friendly. Ensured all was well, but didn't hover over the table. This would probably be a safe place for groups/families or if you wanted a simple, franchise style menu.
