Station Cafe - Richmondshire

We dropped in after scouring the railway vintage memorabilia shop for a coffee and cakes. A very warm welcome from the staff and from the wonderful coal fire. We enjoyed the railway theme of the cafe and they have various Wensleydale Railway items for sale, such as beer and engraved glass packs. The home baking was excellent and the coffee hot and flavoursome. A good selection of snacks. It's the sort of place where everyone is relaxed and conversations with other customers start. Great to see and hear the trains going by. Seats on the platform if you want to get closer to the action.

You only find this old-fashioned railway refreshment room if you go down to Leyburn Station on the Wensleydale Heritage Railway. It is a little gem. The staff are very friendly and the service is efficient. There's a selection of drinks and home made cakes and sandwiches. An extra bonus is that it is dog friendly. Ours was even treated to two crunchie dog biscuits. The trains even stop long enough for passengeers to get a drink.

Tidy station cafe on the Wensleydale heritage railway, a very welcome addition to the train service, hardworking friendly staff with an excellent selection.

We visited this cafe while out for the day. My friend, who is in a wheelchair, and I were treated very well. The cafe offers excellent hand-made sandwiches and cakes that were delicious. They also have a variety of hot and cold drinks available. Arther and his friend were incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful. Their hospitality made a lasting impression on us. This little cafe is truly a hidden gem.

Visited the Station Cafe at the weekend to see Tornado, a real treat, and were really pleased to find the cafe is now dog friendly, another treat, and of course the range of cake treats was excellent p, and very friendly service, we will be back.
