We picked it up and brought it home. The fried alligator was burnt and looked really gross and tasted like rubbery nothing. The fried green tomatoes tasted like sour milk. The shrimp poboy was rubbery and had no flavor. It was difficult to eat. The mac and cheese had a very strong, weird flavor that we couldn?t even eat. The key lime pie looked odd so we didn?t even try and the peach cobbler had gone bad and smelled absolutely terrible. Ended up throwing almost all of the food in the trash. Waste of $100. Worst food I have eaten ever and that?s saying a lot around here. Should have just went to papadeaux and had decent food for probably less!
First time visit with a friend. She highly recommended this restaurant for it's authentic flavors and small family business values. This day my friend desired shrimp and grits. It looked delicious! She let me have a taste... I would order that myself on a subsequent trip. However today the special was a calamari po-boy! The roll was crunchy, lettuce and tomato nice, the calamari were piled high, thick and tender. I finished my entire sandwich! I cannot wait to return to try some of the other specialitys! Many thanks to my friend for introducing me to this great restaurant!
Amazing food here. All the dishes we order tasted great and the cocktail was awesome.
Came here to grab a quick midday snack. We got something simple to try out (i typically eat more creole food being that my family is from nola) and everything tasted good along with their homemade cajun remoulade that went perfectly with our meals. Service was timely and friendly. I would give this place another chance to try other items off the menu.
We're new to the Alburququre area, and love going to local owned resteraunts. We had family in for the holidays and they wanted soulfood or cajun food. I immediately thought there would be no places in the area. I'm so happy I was wrong. We found K'Lynns on Google and popped in with fingers crossed. We were immediately greeted and Welcomed in to sit and eat. The Staff were so feiendly and helpful. My family and I were very excited to see black eyed peas and collard greens for New Year's. Being from thr South I was really missing my Grannys cooking, K'Lynns hit the spot. Everything eas really good. Not everything tasted like Grannies cooking but that's almost impossible to beat. LoL. I say you should stop in and grab a bite to eat. You won't be disappointed. Our nephew who's 12 gave K'Lynns a 11 out of 10 because he said he felt happy here and Gator bites are Awesome! Thanks for a wonderful meal and yummy leftovers! ? we had gator bites basket, shrimp basket, K'Lynns fries, 3 choice combo (shrimp etoufe, catfish, shrimp, mac n cheese, collard greens), jambalaya, and side of black eyed peas...oh and 2 peach cobblers.
