On my way to a Friday night basketball game at Heide Trask high school in Rocky Point NC, I came across a delightful home style cooking restaurant. Tucked away adjacent to the Shell station off I 40 just a couple mins from Trask High, is the Freshway Cafe’.They have internet access so if you need to complete work as I did, it is free.They serve real home cooked plates and Angus burgers that melt in your mouth. I personally chose to have the catfish bites and down East slaw. My partner had the Angus burger. Delicious and worth having a meal there.The looks are deceiving as you walk into what is a convenience store front. The cafe’ is to your right.While there, numerous locals came in for a Friday night dinner which says it all. This is a great place to eat in Rocky Point, NC.

Super friendly staff, food was great, service was excellent. definitely will be going again
