Ridiculous, charge me 15$ for one piece of fish and if your not white or Hispanic they do not want your service, over charge you and give you less food right in front of you face!!
Great spot! Food is amazing! Giant portions. Friendly staff and the music and the way the restaurant is decorated add to the whole experience. Aces if your ask me.
FLAVOR has come to Rome, y'all! This place has got a bunch of really tasty food going for it. Empanadas, stews, fried plantains... they make those two different ways, by the way. Have you ever had plantain? If ynot, you should try it at least once! The sweet kind are a special caramelized kind of banana, a bit different from the typical yellow ones you get at the store. They're really delightful. Tostones, which will take 15 minutes to prepare, are savory, starchy, crispy-fried discs of goodness, perfect for dipping in stuff. A tostone is cooked twice- first the section of huge unripe plantain is fried a bit, then it is smashed down into a disc shape, and fried again so it's all nice and crispy. Most other food is pre-made, buffet style, but you choose which dish you want with your rice, and beans, if you want some. Both the rice and the beans come with a couple delicious options- we chose the more flavorful rice with some beans and flavoring in it. I have to tell you, I had a really hard time choosing between everything, but I settled on the pork chop and a bowl of tripe stew, while my partner got the beef stew. We also got a couple beef and cheese empanadas. Think of them like hot pockets but a kajillion times better. Puffy, golden pastry with some really flavorful filling. If you are hungry for really good food on the go, you can just come in and buy some immediately. They are crispy and warm! The pork chop and beef stew reminded me a lot of Brazilian food that I've had. LOTS of flavor. Not hot spicy, but very much the opposite of bland. The tripe, OMG. Look, I know plenty of y'all are intimidated by the thought of it, but it is a TREAT. The tripe itself is SO TENDER, as good tripe is. The broth is very rich and flavorful, intense and cravable. Root vegetables floating in this stew have soaked all that flavor gorgeously. The portions are generous. We got all of this, a water, and a pineapple soda !! For $41. Be are both so very full with so many leftovers, but we aren't done tasting yet! You have GOT to give this place a try.
