The staff were very friendly and did a great job of processing the orders in a timely fashion. The food arrived in good time. The food was well priced and serving size was also good and tasted good. I had a chicken and salad dish and my wife had a steak and veg dish. We both were happy that we ate here.
The restaurant is inside the RSL, and it was super popular on a Saturday night. You have to line up to order food, and at times the line was quite long. It does move quite quickly though. I ordered the lamb ribs, which came with jalapeño butter corn and chips. The lamb ribs were quite delicious - clean off the bone, flavoursome, but not drowned in sauce. The little tub of brown sauce was very moorish - sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy - I ate way too many disappointing chips just so I could keep eating the sauce! The corn was OK, but the butter didn't seem to be on the corn, and had puddled into my chips. I did managed to roll the corn in some of the residue, and it added good flavour to an otherwise slightly overcooked piece of corn. Dad had the fish, which he found to be dry and unpalatable. Cindy had the steak and said it was quite nice, but she likes her steak cooked to death so what would she know? ;) All our fries were disappointing, and the salads were overdressed and limp. We ordered dessert - the sundae looked impressive but it was really a case of overwhelming the consumer in the hope they wouldn't notice how average it is. The brownie was nice, but it was buried under cheap ice cream and way too much ganache. I thought for the price that the food was OK - not great, but not terrible - but I did get the best meal at the table.
Beyond words could not use words shocking would be one word really Chew And Spew don't waste your money
The food was cold and the vegetables unrecognisable. Asked for a chicken macadamia salad only to find the chicken was fish and just all lettuce!!Fish and chips were all batter and cold.Witnessed a diner returning a plate full of food and the plate was left under the lights for approximately 5 minutes, the plates was wiped down and served to another person!!!!! No beef burgers or chicken burgers on the Long Weekend.Even a waiter said that there were many meals left.Restaurant knew there was going to be a very large National Disabled Ten Pin Bowling Competition held at the nearby bowling alley and obviously they did not wish to cater for this event and its members!!!!!!Will NEVER eat there again.
Best described as motorway cafe food and service. Wide menu but poor execution, greasy and lukewarm by the time it hits the table.
