Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the restaurant, so I can't comment on the hostess. However, it seems like a lovely spot for a meal. The bar offered a nice selection, and the atmosphere felt quite inviting. We ordered burgers, chili, fried pickles, and a stopper salad. Everything was quite reasonably priced, and the food was quite tasty. I would consider it a solid pub option. If you're in search of a decent burger and fries, this place is a great choice. Surprisingly, the Caesar salad was very good as well.
This place is truly one-of-a-kind! The atmosphere is friendly and the prices are reasonable. You have to visit just to hear the owner's incredible bass voice! Where else can you enjoy delicious scallops for just $10, sing karaoke, play the guitar or keyboard, and even meet a former Olympic-level kayaker? Plus, it’s a great spot to shake off the disappointment of the Ovens’ $10 entrance fee to explore a sea cave (definitely not worth it) and have some fun playing mini racing cars with a six-year-old. Don't miss it!
This restaurant makes a good start and deserves the support of the local community. I had a good burger and a decent Martini...strong.no skating on the gin. I had a good burger and my husband's squid was also pretty good and pretty cheap. The restaurant was muded on a Saturday night. We are happy to see this place again open. As another evaluator said, there are now two places to dine in this area of the Lunenburg County, the other are the ovens that are very cute and in a beautiful location by the sea.
This place is awesome !!and the hosts are some of the nicest people you will find on this planet. The menu is fairly simple and their specialty is burgers. VERY good burgers. Their fries , crispy wings, and sides are also delicious as is their Caesar salad! The prices are very fair , the portions very generous, and the soup of the day is ever changing. They are only open from Thursday to Sunday due to a low local population and being so new , but hopefully we can get them busy enough to be open every day. They are fully licenced and have a good beer and drink selection on tap and in the fridge. The only downfall is the lack of people coming out for supper sometimes, With proper word of mouth this place will be a hot spot to eat down here on the south shore. It 's also a good alternative or option to the ovens fabulous miner diner restaurant when they are to capacity. Come check them out!!
