Costello's Bakery - Ryedale

After my recent visit to Costellos, I can confidently say that I will not be returning. When we arrived, we sat at the only available table which was dirty and had leftover cups on it. My husband went to the counter to order, but the staff ignored him for almost ten minutes. When they finally took his order, there was no apology for the long wait or for neglecting the other customers in line. The coffees were made quickly, but there was no courtesy or acknowledgment from the staff. They also made mistakes with other customers' orders. Our table was never cleaned, and as we left, there was no thank you or goodbye from the staff who were too busy chatting. It's a shame that such a nice establishment is being let down by its staff.

During our first visit to this restaurant, we enjoyed tea, coffee, and toasted teacakes. The establishment is dog-friendly, which was convenient as we had our dog with us. The service was friendly and efficient. The restroom was quite basic, but having a separate baby changing area was a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately, the restroom was not wheelchair accessible. Overall, we recommend this place for its variety of cakes and other tasty treats.

I visited the restaurant today and had an absolutely amazing experience. They have a fantastic selection of cakes and pastries, as well as lovely hot drinks. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. It is a great place for families. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Beautiful service and eat in costello's today's tasty cakes and the hot drinks were nice on a cool day. also loved how the welcoming staff was for a two-year-old mischievous, who found many toys to play with!
