The large haddock I ordered wasn't as large as usual, and the two battered jumbo sausages were cold in the middle. I usually look forward to my meal at Harpers, but tonight's experience fell short of my expectations.
We got fish chips to take away and my partner left quite unhappy with the attitude of the employee he got served by. Moody and rude. Not accomadating to his request of a non-buttered breadcake either, surley they had some in the back that had not already been buttered? A polite 'No, I 'm sorry, we don 't have that ' would have been fine but when met with just a short reply of 'no ' it does grate on the nerves just a bit. (yes it 's not the end of the world but when you 're already not getting the best service it just adds to it Fish chips were just as expected and I drove away feeling pretty full. :
Visited today 9.12.20 for my mums birthday what a lovely surprise when we were shown to our table there was balloons and a birthday banner, talk about going that extra mile. Food was fantastic and far too much. The waiters Darren and Sam were very professional and checked we had enough of everything , not often you see such polite and friendly staff can’t wait to be able to come visit with the rest of the family once restrictions are liftedThank you for such an enjoyable visit
I decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim and found it to be quite inviting from the outside. The food was excellent and the staff were kind and considerate. I highly recommend this place. The fish and chips were delicious and exactly how they should be.
