Stopped for lunch weekday in high season after seeing a huge sign' restaurant ouvert '13.05h and 6 adults and 2 children . One table of six on the terras has almost finished their meal, rest is empty. Our question for lunch is met with hesitation and the need to go ask the chef, who apparently agrees because we are seated( inside ) . After setting the table, wich took awhile, we are given menucards with 6 dishes on it, 4 salads, beef and fish, not at all the card displayed outside. Nothing for kids, no menu, no lunchdish. We already ask for water while we choose and the wary lady serving answers us we will have to wait because she has to serve ' the clients' first! After being stunned for 5 minutes, we abandonned! We offered to pay the bottle of sparkling water while leaving, but that seemed not to be nessecary, it was as if they were glad we were leaving.....
The property was relaxed, informal, in an excellent semi rural location. We arrived with our 2 dogs to a warm welcome in burning rain. The rooms were clean and simply furnished, we had a ground floor room with an outdoor terrace with seating; it was... nice to sit outside, with the tranquility of the court fountain with a glass of wine when the rain stopped. The next morning the sun was outside and it was wonderful, the outdoor space is perfect, beautiful shaded eclectic seating areas, and a fabulous pool and tennis court. Our stay was a pit stop, but we would definitely not hesitate to stay. The property has been reasonably priced.
