Le Clos des Plaines

I often forget to give a heads up to places close to where I now live so I thought I 'd remedy that and write a review for a real gem that is but a stones throw from my adopted home! Le Clos des Plaines is on the main vallée d 'Azergues road so very easy to find and the welcome that Aurélie and Fred and their wonderful staff (including Lucie....Aurélie 's mum give you makes the stop worthwhile. I have eaten there on many occasions but the day I 'd like to highlight is Sunday when they have their brunch. To start there is a magnificent buffet comprising oysters, prawns, mussels, various salads, pâté.....oooo the list goes on! For the main there 's a choice of meat or fish both beautifully cooked and served with a delicious gratin dauphinois and for pud it 's back to the buffet for an immense array of delights including a big bowl of sweets for the kids (big and small! There 's a great choice of wines local and national all very reasonably priced and if I say booking is recommended then take my advice book now........you won 't regret it.

Third visit to this restaurant. this time we went there on a Saturday night, so menu of the w-e or map. The least we can say is that we were not disappointed. evening meal taken on the terrace, the dishes always as good as the reception. another visit will therefore be required

This Sunday21 May we have lunch in the close of the plains to st laurent d'oingt. very good buffet of entrances (copyy, varied, with eightres) then to the choice of meat or fish (very good) cheese and desert buffet (very good.) the menu is at 30€ the room is a bit noisy (we could have eaten on the outside terrace)

Coming for a family meal, it was a good surprise. welcomed by friendly staff. buffets of various and very good entries and desserts or everyone can find what they like. the main dish is to choose between meat or fish. a copyy meal for a reasonable price.
