Contribuisci feedbackLast night, four of us enjoyed a delightful dinner at a table by the water. Our waiter, Lou, was fantastic and truly an asset to the restaurant. He was straightforward yet hilarious, and it was evident that he genuinely enjoyed making sure guests had a great time, as long as everyone respected the establishment and its staff. Three of us ordered the XL crabs, which were perfectly steamed and seasoned, while the fourth person had a crab sandwich that was hearty and packed with meat, without too much filler. With Lou's assistance, we wrapped up our meal smoothly. Just a heads-up: you can't stay tied up overnight, so make sure you plan to anchor or find a secure spot at the marina.
I had high hopes for this restaurant because the atmosphere was lovely and the service was outstanding. Unfortunately, while the crabs were advertised as large and meaty, they turned out to be small and lacking in substance. I did mention this to the waitress, who was genuinely helpful, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. So, here’s an honest review from a woman celebrating a milestone birthday who loves crabs: the venue was beautiful, and the staff, especially Misty, were fantastic. However, the crabs were disappointing, and that really diminished my experience.
After a leisurely sailing cruise, we found ourselves at Crab Claw, a perfect spot for crab enthusiasts. The atmosphere is laid-back, with picnic tables for dining. Unfortunately, due to allergies, I can't eat crabs, but I can speak to the experience of those around me. The staff lays out paper tablecloths while diners enjoy a crab feast. I opted for the Rock Fish and Chips, which were delicious. For my drink, I chose the Crab Claw's signature Hahn brew, and it was excellent. I highly recommend visiting Crab Claw when you’re in historic St. Michaels.
Good food at a reasonable price for a tourist trap. Service was slower than in recent years when the waitress had a table of friends or relatives in extensive conversations? The crab cake was really good, but not the best. The rock fish and chips were well prepared and presented, but I now know that I want to prefer it. There are a lot of outdoor seats right on the water with protection from the sun/rain, and probably some indoor seats, but I never tried. The ambience is old-fashioned crab coupling very simple. We always go there because right in front of the Maritime Museum and there are good parking spaces.
Amazing experience ! Taylor is the best server !! your drink doesn?t get empty and her attentiveness is impeccable . Tracy the first face we seen provided an amazing accommodation to seat us in the perfect spot . Thank you for making our getaway memorable . The **** Marys were off the chain .
