Ghebre's - Saint Paul

We make it a point to try Ethiopian food in every city we visit, and this place served the best Doro Wat we've had anywhere! The service was friendly and attentive. It was fantastic! If we lived here, we would definitely eat here all the time!

Our children get to choose a restaurant or meal where we celebrate their birthdays as a family. This year, our youngest daughter wanted Ethiopian, and Ghebre 's came up in a search result as one of the good 'uns, and it didn 't disappoint! We ordered five dishes for the seven of us, ate to the full, and we still had leftovers to take home! Now, that wouldn 't mean much if the food wasn 't good, but--oh, yeah--it was good! So tasty, so garlicky, so finger-licking yummy! And lick my fingers I did since it is common when eating Ethiopian food to use fingers as the utensils. The dishes were served on a large, injera-lined tray with more injera (a spongy and delicious flatbread) on the side. I 've attached an image, though my cell camera doesn 't do it justice. The next day, I just microwaved the leftovers in a large soup bowl, and it was like a savory Ethiopian dressing, aarrrgghhhh (drools in Homeresque fashion). Needless to say, we can 't wait to go back!

Delicious! Stopped in for the buffet before a soccer game... such amazing food! Seriously recommend it.

Delicious food, quick and excellent service. We tried the sampler and also ordered beef tips. Everything was perfect; the tibs were the most tender I've had (and we've eaten a lot of Ethiopian food! and the cabbage and carrots were excellent- tender and flavorful. Definitely worth a visit.

Tried this place on a whim and was blown away with just how delicious the food was. The beef was cooked to perfection, not a single kernel of rice was overcooked, even the cabbage was scrumptious. The portions are large to boot. Friendly service and a warm, humble environment topped off the wonderful experience.
