However there were two issues: 1)they do a booming delivery service and that seemed t result in slow service for the diners in the restaurant. 2)they should turn off the large screen travelog for Thailand; I don't need that when I'm having my meal.
When our group arrived for our fully confirmed Thanksgiving Dinner at Soi Gow, we were disappointed to find that the restaurant was completely dark. It was apparent that the owners have neglected to update their information on OpenTable or their website. The listed address on both platforms was actually for a different restaurant called Sriracha, which seemed to offer similar cuisine. It seems the owners changed the name without informing anyone. Despite this setback, we decided to try Butterfly instead and had a wonderful dinner, although we had to be seated along the bar as last minute walk-ins.
The restaurant is conveniently located near the De Young Museum, making it an easy walk. The decor is simple, but the food, especially the curry and calamari, was delicious. I would definitely come back if I was in the area.
The Thai restaurant in the heart of Inner Sunset offers delicious and affordable food. The venue is spacious and the decor is typical of a Thai restaurant. The service is friendly and attentive. We ordered popular Thai dishes like Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Crab Fried Rice, all of which had great flavors and satisfied our craving for Thai cuisine. The only downside was that the chicken was a bit dry, but it was easily masked by the curry. This restaurant is more affordable compared to others in the neighborhood. We will definitely be returning for more.
When our party arrived for our fully confirmed Thanksgiving Dinner, we found Soi Gow was completely dark! The owners obviously can't be bothered to keep OpenTable or their website up to date. The listed address on both OT and the Internet was even for a differently named restaurant, Sriracha. Since it appeared to serve the same type of cuisine, the owners probably changed the name without bothering to update anyone. Seriously?Only slightly daunted, we went to Butterfly and still had a great dinner despite as lastminute walkins being seated strung out along the bar
