Mariscos Toribio - San Antonio

Very friendly people even Sunday night had to stop and get me some tacos they were delicious definitely recommend this place!!

One of the best mini taco food trucks in San Antonio is definitely worth the drive to SW Military to sample these delicious mini tacos. They offer a wide variety of meat options, and the flavors are just right—perfectly seasoned without being overwhelming or greasy. The staff is fantastic and attentive to their customers. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.

This restaurant is always bustling, so we decided to give it a try. Perhaps we visited on an off night, but the tacos didn't impress us. We ordered both asada and pastor tacos. They were decent, but I wouldn't rush back. The asada was better than the pastor; it had a good flavor, but the meat was cold and a bit chewy. The pastor, on the other hand, seemed undercooked—definitely a concern with pork—as it lacked crispiness and was also cold. The green salsa, however, was delicious! Overall, it was an average experience, but in a city like San Antonio, I expect more deliciousness that leaves me wanting to return.

I feel I must share my experience at this restaurant, as it raises serious concerns about health and safety standards. During my visit, I witnessed them serving meat from the back of a truck, using ice chests that had been sitting in the sun all day. The staff did not wear gloves or masks while handling food. Additionally, I saw a server put uneaten rice back onto the serving tray and then serve it to another customer. This place is extremely unhygienic.

I had a pastor quesadilla and it was delicious! I'm planning to return with my family to explore the rest of the menu.
