Dockside 1953 - San Diego

The service and the setting were exceptional. we sat on a fireplace lounge table on the deck, which was comfortable and charming despite a cool night. cocktails were excellent. the food was disappointing. we ordered both the scallops that were a bit over cooked, but not dressed with each sose or accompanied by lemon. the scallops came with well roasted and spiced sparing, a shiny one who was not after my taste, and a potato crocket that was not seasoned at all. How do you manage to make a potato dish without salt? dessert was in order. overall it was a good dinner but not worth the price, despite the great setting and excellent service.

Service was great, but don't think they both needed doors open.

Was not great. they called me 4 times to tell me that my reservation wasn't in their schedule. it was not able to move it at a later time. when we were there, they gave up to go up when I asked to move it. outside heating worked on all tables, but ours. server was fantastic, the best part of the experience.

We went for Christmas brunch. Choice of 6 flavors for mimosas. Wide variety of very delicious food. Service was very good. Good musician playing oldies. Outside dining at waterside.
