L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - San Diego

The meat is very very very tough and over cooked. Rice tasted like it was made yesterday. Not sure if there was supose to be sauce, I didnt get any sauce so I am not sure. Interesting dish I suppose.

They now use cheese slices on the bulgogi fries instead of shredded cheese no longer use the crinkly fries. The sliced "cheese" throws off the flavor and texture.

The food is consistently good, as always. The Loco Moco only came with two beef patties instead of the three mentioned in the app description, but it still tasted great.

This is the best L&L within a 30-mile radius! You absolutely have to try their Chicken Katsu plate, and their BBQ mix is definitely worth mentioning as well!

I'm disappointed... once again. I ordered two regular plates of chicken katsu, but they forgot the sauce—yet again! I'm not sure what's happening with the food; perhaps they have new, inexperienced cooks. We also ordered a beef plate and kalbi ribs. Unfortunately, both the ribs and the beef were overcooked. The beef was tough and dry, almost like beef jerky, and the kalbi ribs had a burnt flavor. It’s really disappointing to have part of our order missing and the food we did receive not meeting expectations.
