Wine prices are very reasonable and the special offers are good. We started with almejas mariniere and pulpo a la Gallega and both were very good. Some large olives appeared on the table un ordered which we were subsequently charged for. My lenguardo was dry but the choco plancha was good and large size. The dorada was also very good. Beer was 1.70 per glass and the Alcorta Reserva , at 11.00 was very nice. Prices for food are what you would expect to pay for fresh fish. If the lenguardo had not been dry, I would say a very good restaurant. Would certainly go there again.
We had 4 Tapas dishes for which the flavours were really good a couple drinks and under 12 euros will go back next visit
Cadiz is an often over looked town as its not on most peoples places to visit. We have been twice now and its a very nice place to visit with excellent beaches and all you need for a good holiday. We wanted to try traditional Spanish Tapas, as we had two people in our family group who spoke a little Spanish we asked two locals for the best Tapas place, they both told us Casa Pepe. Its about a 5 minutes walk from the beach near the old fort or 5 minutes from the main food market square so about 10 minutes from the cruise ship dock, its a pleasant flat walk with plenty to see on the way One member of staff spoke a little English and the rest is easy as you can go to the counter and point, the staff are excellent and friendly, the place is very clean. They do a very good range of Meat, fish and vegetable Tapas. The food and drink was excellent quality and not expensive. Volveremos
