The grilled scallops and lobster are particularly enticing, perfectly cooked with a light buttery flavor that is absolutely delicious. The grilled cabbage with garlic oil offers a uniquely delightful sweetness, and it's so good that you won't be able to resist eating more. Even if you're not a fan of potatoes, the grilled potatoes, sliced and served with a tangy creamy sauce, are an out-of-this-world delight. However, the grilled salmon was just average, as it was slightly overcooked for my preference, resulting in a dry texture. Another exceptional option is the raw fish and antelope tartare, which can be enjoyed with toast bread or fresh vegetables. The grilled beef and mushrooms were both excellent! The bread with specially prepared butter adds a lovely touch, even for those who don't typically consume much bread. Ending our meal with the chocolate salty peanut butter dessert something not to miss. To complement the meal, the great white and pinot noir wines are perfect choices. Lastly, the restaurant boasts a beautiful bay view and stunning decor, adding to the overall experience.
It’s hard to get really wowed by a meal in the age of social media hype, Eater Best lists and such, but WOW!!! One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long, long time. Every course from the oysters and amberjack sashimi to radicchio salad(!!? to bass, trout and swordfish mains to the final sundae exceeded expectations. Six of us with varying tastes and no one was disappointed. Service was impeccable. Morgan was patient with our wine indecision. Even the stemware and cutlery were first class special. Warning: NOT cheap but I’ve spent more and been far less impressed. Treat yourselves. ??Dietary restrictions: Our diabetic friend had no shortage of options.
Had lunch here with the customer. It was excellent. The blue fin tuna with tomato jelly shiso was excellent. The flat iron steak was perfect.
We had the pre-fixed menu for two people. If I can give one piece of advice: DO NOT GET THIS. The pre-fixe menu was WAY too much food, and they gave us the worst items of the menu. For $550 for two people, they served us bread, trout, cabbage, potato, chicken, and an ice cream. We only had a small tuna tartare three baby oysters. This is the ONLY good quality food they served. $550 is what we pay in New York for EXCEPTIONAL omakase sushi. Not for chicken and potatoes. There was so much food we could not even eat our main. We were expecting to eat amazing food and were so disappointed with this menu. We encourage others to go for the à la carte menu and order items like scallops lobster which looked delicious. We wish so bad the restaurant would have served this in the pre-fixe instead of chicken ?
Really liked this place. Good food, nice ambiance and friendly service. We had a table with a view of the bay bridge which was quite nice. The embered oysters and the sea bream was a highlight for me; the radicchio was very fun to eat as you need a big knife to cut it open and it was super good too. The potatoes, scallop crudo and hen of the woods mushroom were very nice but not outstanding. The sundae for dessert was super tasty but a tiny bit too heavy. Would totally return just for the embered oysters!
