From beginning to end, we could not have enjoyed our meal more!
Big 4 restaurant is a beautiful place. Really nice food, ambiance is perfect, rich, and charming with a history. It's expensive but pretty much worth it. The bar alone is worth a visit.
My wife and I celebrated our 100 month anniversary here. The place feels a little outdated, but the service and food was exceptional. We had the grilled oysters (Special), I had the NY Steak and my wife had the pork chop. The grilled oysters were really good. I really enjoyed the char and the soupy sauce that came with the oysters. The NY steak was 14 oz and my wife's pork chop was 16 oz, so big portions. I asked for medium rare steak, and it was cooked to perfection. I also loved the butter topping with the steak. My wife's pork chop came with this orange puree which was sweet and went well with the pork chop. Then we had dessert, I had the bread pudding and my wife had the lemon meyer creme brulee. Desserts were just perfect. The bread pudding was soft and warm, and sweet with the creme anglaise mixed with caramel. The creme brulee came with cookies that went perfect with the dessert! Will definitely come back again.
We come here occasionally for special dinners and enjoy the restaurant. The food and the atmosphere are excellent. The wine list is very pricey and does not have much selection below $100. Ask for the wine-by-the-glass list to fine reasonably priced bottles.
