They do not honor the 20% off your order for the check in on yelp. I ordered my drinks first, but they worked on the lady order behind me first. The drinks sweetness here does not match the other gong Cha places the I've gone too.
This is a boba tea chain. This is near whole foods, in a strip mall. This is the only shop in business there. The tea is good. I got winter lemon with coconut and matcha for my son.
This gong cha is small with some (but not much) seating. We visited around noon it was not crowded. The store has a parking lot attached. There are many of the standard flavor options. You order by sweetness and ice level as well. I'm disappointed in the lack of dairy free milk tea options. In the bay where 100% of Quickly's milk teas are soy based, why wouldn't a person just go there for more options, more seating, and nicer vibes?I ordered the passionfruit green tea with 50% sweet and 50% ice plus coconut jelly. The coconut jelly they use is really strange. It doesn't taste like coconut but is instead sickly sweet and fruity. The person I went with got a tarp milk tea and noted that it had a very chalky texture, like it had been made from a mix. I know many of these places use mixes and that's fine, but I don't think there should be an unpleasant texture. Overall, it's boba. It's not the most amazing experience but it fulfills the need.
The staff charged me twice on the same item due to their machine glitch. Their attitude sucked, they didn’t even contact me. I tried contact them MYSELF, but their attitude is so bad and rude. They didn’t replied to message I sent. They even doubted that they didn’t charge me twice. Please resolve this issue ASAP. Please compensate for the mistake you made and the terrible attitude you showed.[Update]They refunded me the charged amount (including the original price). This made me feel a lot better. That’s why I changed from 1 star to 4 stars.
My daughters and I are Boba fans and this was our first experience at Gong Sha. We were excited to try it out and see how it compared to our other favorite Boba shops. The first thing we noticed was that the shop looked bigger from the outside than it actually was. It can fit no more than 8-10 people. They have a pretty extensive drink menu with a variety of teas, smoothies, and other drinks. We usually order our drinks with 75% sweetness, but when I went to order, the guy behind the counter looked at me funny when I said 75%. There was a little communication issue, but what he was trying to tell me was that they don't do 70% sweetness but they do do 75% sweetness. So we got a 70% sweet Taro Smoothie, Strawberry Smoothie, Mango Honey Green Tea, and Pearl Milk Tea.The drinks took a while to come out, but they were good. The prices were on par with most other Boba shops. We liked that they had options without tea for the kids. We will definitely be back. Overall, we had a good experience at Gong Sha. The drinks were good and the prices were reasonable. We would definitely recommend it to other Boba fans.
