Candombe Resto-pub - San Jose

Great stop in between destinations. Restaurant is clean and has a nice view of the Costa Rican mountains and valley below. The server recommended one of his specials and I was happy I got it as it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had. The salmon was great too (not something I usually go for, but he was so enthusiastic about it, I could tell it was good) Pasta made from scratch, sauce was the right combination of saucy and cheesy...just delectable. Had a great caesar salad on the side, too. Not your typical Costa Rican dish but they nailed it! Give it a try if you're looking for something more familiar.

Manager Carlos is always warm and welcoming. The only place outside Dominical to serve Fuego beer on tap! Their burgers, steaks and pizza are without a doubt the best in the area and the view of the valley is beautifully panoramic. Live music stage on certain nights.

Legit woodfire pizza, among the best I've had since moving to Costa Rica. This is our new go-to spot for food when we travel from Uvita to San Isidro.

Beautiful stop along the drive to San Isidro for pizza and beers. Stunning view and a great place to catch a sports game as they have TVs. Looks like the owner is expanding to a brewery so would love to return to see how it’s grown.
