Contribuisci feedbackI went with my mum to this restaurant for her birthday, and we thought the food was fairly average for a hatted restaurant, except for the risotto, which was cooked to perfection. There was a large group in the restaurant that night, and the waiters and waitresses were quite attended to this group well, but seemed to have quite neglected us. We waited for more than half an hour for dessert to come after finishing our main dish.
This restaurant has changed hands but still delivers quality food and excellent wines.The staff are friendly and it has a great view over the Georges River.Parking can be a problem
Very rich flavours . Nice formal style of restaurant . Service is good . Food quality is high. Interior decor very classy. Great place to go for lunch and dinner.
My partner and I came here for my birthday in September, excited after reading a range of positive reviews. We had booked a week earlier, but when we arrived the staff couldn't find our reservation - which didn't matter as there were only a few other diners so plenty of seats.The staff were initially very attentive, taking our food and wine orders straight away, but after this we were largely left looking for them and trying to wave them down - which we needed to do quite frequently. We had a 30 minute wait for our simple entrees, one of which was served with a side-salad with lumps of rotting lettuce through-out it. When we pointed this out to our wait person, she asked if we wanted another one. When we said no, she simply took our plates away with no further comment. Not that we were expecting a refund, but perhaps an apology or at least confirmation it would be relayed to the chef.We both ordered from the specials menu for mains, and were both equally disappointed. The seafood pasta was AWFUL, there are no other words to describe it. The pasta was handmade, but had clearly not been cooked with care as large sections of it were clumped together and very gluggy. The seafood itself was clearly frozen/thawed/refrozen it was extremely mushy with a horrible flavour. The sauce had a similar level of care - with largely uncooked garlic throughout. We barely touched it. The other main was a beef cheek special that was closer to edible, but nothing you would ever want to eat again.During this time, the wait staff disappeared and we ended up having to get up and go seek them out to ask for more water and wine. We had similar issues trying to find someone to pay so we could get the hell out of there.Suffice to say, it was a disappointing experience. With just a bit of extra care with food and service, this restaurant has a lot of potential as it is in a great location, but we will never be back to find out.
Awful oily expensive food. Yuk! Between the overpriced oily meals and bad service, they aced it at being the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Claiming to be Italian food. Never had risotto with so much butter.
