Paradice Hawaiian Shave Ice Ice Cream

I was excited to find Hawaiian shave ice while visiting Santa Barbara as I really miss Hawaii. We came here weekday afternoon and it was just us. My son ordered the zephyr shave ice. We took a bite of it and it did almost bring us back to Hawaii. The POG flavors were just so good and with the ice cream. This one was enough to satisfy the craving. Definitely give it a try.

ParadICE is a clever name for selling shaved ice. I tried the Zephyr, which had POG flavors- passion fruit, orange, and guava with vanilla ice cream topped with condensed milk. While it didn't exactly take me back to the amazing shaved ice memories I had in Maui and Honolulu, paradICE would likely pack a punch for those who haven't been. Prices: $8.50 and $9.50 for S and L. This is a good afternoon place to try when you want something cold and refreshing! The texture was pretty fluffy and not overly icey like some shaved ice places. Will definitely come back once the summer heatwave starts coming in!

Do not go to this place if you are here before 11:30 am. Their business name is in need of a change because until 11:30 am, these people won't serve shave ice. Won't be back.

This is such a great place. The shaved ice was perfect. I stumbled upon it during a work trip and so glad I did. I got the lychee and strawberry and it was yummy! A must try!
