Before each meal, a symbolic ritual of the Kogi culture is performed. The desserts are out of this world with careful presentation. There are vegetarian and vegan options. It is super special if you want to invite foreigners to get to know a facet of our country. Vegetarian options: There is a delicious dish with barley and orange for vegans

This is a special restaurant unlike any of the touristy, kind of interchangeable cafes I have visited in the colonial district of Bogota. The menu focuses on indigenous and indigenous-inspired cuisine from Colombia. As the server brought out each course he explained (in Spanish) and performed with us traditional meal-time rituals with herbs and oils that elevated the meal to something sacred and reflective. In a city that, to my gringo eyes and ears at least, does not broadcast its indigenous heritage Chamánico stands out as something different. If you’re in Bogota make sure to pay a visit!
