Stopped in here today, first off, the rice is AWESOME, I feel as if you take time out to do that right, it can only get better from there, which it did, the pastries I had was nice and fresh, tamales, steaming hot and plentiful, I love that I can stand there and watch my food being made. The ladies are very friendly.
Today, we decided to have some pan dulce since it had been a while since we last enjoyed it. I was surprised that I almost couldn't find the location, but it's always been in the same spot for, I would guess, about ten years, if not longer. As I looked at the display to decide what to buy, I remembered that it was cash only before, so I turned to check the cash register and indeed saw the sign confirming that. I checked my wallet and found five one-dollar bills. The last time I visited, I recall items being 75 cents. I thought maybe the prices had increased because of COVID. I ended up getting four items for a total of $4.50, which I couldn't quite figure out. Nevertheless, when I got home, everything was delicious. I would have given them five stars, but I’m rating it four because of the cash-only policy. Basically, they lost my business twice—once for lunch and again today, as I would have definitely purchased more if they accepted cards. However, if they've managed to stay in business for this long with that policy, more power to them. Either way, the bakery has great offerings!
This is an excellent place to grab lunch in the mornings. The handmade tortillas are fantastic, and the food is very flavorful, plus the bread is delicious!
Taco over love. the tacos are muy bien!
