Pappy's - Santa Maria

Very original American restaurant with 24-hour breakfast service. The burgers and salads are very delicious. The attention and treatment of the waitresses was great.

Pappy makes my belly happy. We were so hungry after visiting Avila Beach. Saw the road sign off the 101 freeway and decided to give it a try. Large portion food. The restaurant was established in 1959. Alyssa our server was friendly and courteous. Lots of truckers and locals eat from the surrounding agriculture community. Food did not disappoint. Unlimited coffee. One free refill hot chocolate. Worth the stop.

I was so disappointed. My gosh was all batter and tasted fishy. Aka old. Cole slaw was watery. Service was very slow and so was the restaurant so no excuse Parking: I've come to this place for 40 years and never left so unhappy

If you're looking for a family style restaurant with large portions and good service, Pappy's is the place for you. I ordered the Santa Maria style tri-tip. It came with soup or salad and your choice of 2 sides. My son ordered the chicken mushroom fettuccine (chicken and mushrooms on the side). He had his with the veggie tortilla soup and he ate all of it, which was a win to get him to get his veggies. Great experience overall!

Better than most steakhouses out here. Their tri tip sandwich was amazing. Fast service and friendly. My new to go place for a tri tip sandwich. Excited to try other menu items
