Nicky's On Palm - Sarasota

The lounge has a fantastic and vibrant atmosphere. The bartender is exceptionally skilled, and the owner is incredibly entertaining! What else could you ask for? Plus, there's live local music!

I attended the New Year's Eve party at Nicky's and had mixed feelings about the experience. At first, the service was excellent, but by 9 PM, it completely fell off. We waited an hour for our next round of drinks, never received our dessert, and the band that performed was not the one that was advertised. The food was bland but somewhat acceptable. We ended up leaving at 11 PM to grab a drink at another bar in downtown. I would recommend saving your money, as there are plenty of better options in downtown Sarasota.

There's a unisex bathroom in the dining area with just one toilet, and it's appallingly filthy! It seems like no one ever sweeps the floor, as there's dirt caked in the corners, and it definitely hasn't been mopped in a while. Given the state of the restroom, I can't even imagine what the kitchen looks like! Additionally, there's a $10 cover charge for music, which seems excessive. I've visited this place twice, and both times I ordered red wine that was served in slim white wine glasses—very small pours. The owner really needs to take a hard look at the establishment from a customer’s perspective, do a thorough cleaning, and perhaps reconsider its operations. It’s a fantastic location in beautiful Sarasota, but it feels so shabby and dirty! Here’s hoping Al finds a better venue for his Wednesday blues sessions.

Worst experience ever!! Went for a Christmas work party and what an embarrassment. Charging 42.00 for a filet mignon that was actually a sirloin worst piece of meat ever! All of our dinners were FROZEN!! Service was absolutely horrible! I asked for a water.. they replied what kind of water?? It’s a company party you should have pitchers of water on the table. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Not worth one penny and their 15.00 drinks that were made completely wrong!! Stay far away

Our waitress was on her 2nd night was so good. The music was beyond anything we’ve experienced in years.
