Nori Sushi&thai - Sarasota

Food and service is always great. Dining atmosphere is themed right as well. Sushi was fresh.

Another small sushi/Thai place with a nice menu serving beer and wine. Decorations gave it a nice little atmosphere. At first glance the roll that I was served didn't get many points for presentation. Got the two face roll where I thought the white tuna was a little questionable. White tuna? Was not to impressed with what I ordered. There are so many sushi restaurants in the area to try. Sorry not my best pictures.

I came back with the boss to try again since several people tell me they like this place. I was disappointed again with the food. I ordered the chirashi and my wife said, why does it look so dry? . The tamago was really dry. Several slices of sashimi were also dry. My wife 's chicken pad Thai guess what. The chicken was dry. Service was good. But the food is really disappointing. Dry is the theme for tonight.

Ive had Thai in both NY and in at least three counties all over Florida. Only two places out of probably 50 have stood out to me. This is one of them. My family and I got take out this evening because we still havent found decent Thai in the Sarasota area and had gotten bored quickly with our last one. Nori did not disappoint. We had six people eating and we all raved about how good it is. Even our three small children devoured their meals and they can be picky at times. The veggies are crisp, the meat is fresh and not chewy, etc like many restaurants are serving now. Is it really chicken? Lol I often wonder at some places but not this one! The portion sizes are great, the order was correct, the flavors are robust. I am excited to try more on their menu in the near future. Im so thankful to have a great Thai place not so far from me. Id been traveling two counties over to get highly quality Thai food or eating subpar nearby whenever I wanted it. No more! This is close and we will be regulars now.
