First off when you arrive they have some goodies on the bed waiting for you (candy, water, a book, chips, and a few other things) and I almost didn't realize it was not for free or included in the room price. I almost let my kids have some and the price $4 for each candy bar is a bit extreme when you can go to the gas station and get it for cheaper. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. The restaurant is extremely expensive, especially for 4 people. It was over $100 for our food and the kids shared a pizza so we only ordered 3 meals total. Kind of pointless for the size of the meals as you can't take leftovers back to your room because there is no fridge and no microwave so if you can't finish your meal it's a total waste. There is no free breakfast that comes with your stay it's 15$ per person that's $55 for 4 people, sorry never stayed any where that didn't have some kind of free breakfast. The walls are kinda thin and unfortunately the neighbors we had were fighting and they were kinda rude to their own kids. This neighbor I guess also said to my kids that they needed to stop splashing around in the pool (sorry it's a pool and they are kids) had I heard it I would have told her something. I think they were drunk the whole time. Kinda strange that they close the pool area at 11pm when the public one is 24 hours (could be a liability thing though). We couldn't get the TV to work, we tried everything including making sure it was plugged in and we still couldn't get any TV any thing. We all ended up having to watch our phones. Almost 300 dollars for the room for one night seemed a bit extreme for how small it was and that there was no microwave, no fridge, no working TV and no breakfast included. I have done a lot of traveling over that last 5 years with thw family and have experienced many hotels and stayed in much nicer places for way less that included much more and those were in much bigger towns and cities even. My kids though I am just super happy they enjoyed the whole thing because that made the trip a little better, but still they are happy just about anywhere. In my own opinion and based of the experience 15 years ago and my experience this time, I would so much rather find a cheaper hotel and use the public hot springs instead. I enjoyed my visit 15 years ago way better than this trip and we were roughing it back then. Our stay July 31st- August 1st Rooms: They are small. No microwave, no fridge, and a TV that didn't work. Nearby activities: I guess there is some activities near by but we didn't check them out. Safety: Is set up so the only people getting in are guests. Walkability: Lots of things in the resort are walking distance. Food drinks: Way too expensive!!!!!!! You can't even keep the left overs because you have no way to take back to your room and have it for later. Noteworthy details: Personally I would go stay some where else and go use the public hot springs instead and go eat some where that is cheaper.
The room was more motel 6 than it was exquisite. Sink was backing up, needed caulking around the tub. Not even like Comfort Inn standards : Rooms: Needed caulk on tub. Sink didn’t drain. Needs paint. Needs remodeled and updated.
Honestly, it 's not a great experience overall. I was part of a conference, we would get certain discounts if you were part of it. I called asking about the pricing, and I asked if they would call me back to let me know, and they said yes. During this time, they mentioned that its not a reservation, more like a hold. I NEVER got a call back. I reserved something else for a decent price. 2 days into the conference, I received a text asking when I 'd be checking in. I called them immediately, explaining that I never received a call, so it was never booked, and I was bothered by it. They never apologized or seemed concerned. They said okay and hung up. I wish that was a joke. I was flabbergasted! Do what you want but not the best customer experience or overall.... Thank you :
Showed up at 7:10 pm and was seated with options of buffet or pizza. Waited for 10 minutes with zero service. Had to flag a young boy to ask for help. He told us they were no longer serving pizza. I told he we were seated by the nice young lady and what she had told us. Then another boy came and told us the only thing being offered was the buffet because they were out of pizza. Upon getting up and leaving and turned to watch the first young boy making gestures at us behind our back. Very disappointed with a place that appears to be really nice. Would never return or recommend simply because of the one employee.
My daughter and I spent a long weekend here last week. We started our trip with a tire blowout on I-80, so by the time we arrived we were ready for some relaxation. Our room was small, but perfect for just the two of us. Bathroom was recently updated and beautiful. The service was incredible. Everyone was so kind to us. I wouldn 't say it was super crowded but there were plenty of people around. We had no issue with noise from the room next door. I would have liked a refrigerator and microwave in the room for sure. My 8 yo daughter LOVED the hot springs pool. She made a friend and they had a blast! There were two older adults who were not happy about kids in the pool and made a rude comment to my daughter about her being annoying . I recommend using the smaller ADULTS ONLY pools if you find a child playing in the middle of the day, in the all ages pool annoying . We ate dinner both nights at the restaurant. It was okay, but a bit overpriced. The beer from the brewery is great! Try the Saratoga Wit! We also left 2 swimsuits behind and they were mailed and arrived to us in less than a week! Stellar service!
