Tortuga's Island Grille - Savannah

I ate here last week. The first time with a friend I had the Panini Club with Chicken. It was so good! I went back the next day with my husband and children. I tried her shrimp taco special and it was even better than the Panini! My children are picky eaters and both have cleaned their plates. The service was also great! We will definitely come back.

Amazing creative dishes delivered by friendly attentive servers. Both seafood and steak were perfectly prepared. This place is competitive with any local high-end restaurant . . . but quieter.

I wanted to eat at Tubby (as it first showed on Yelp search), but after I had seen how busy it was, and did not want to deal with it, I discovered this little jewel of a place... When you were in the city of Thunderbolt, GA (what a cool name for a city) you can simply miss this place on the right side, it is part of a very tiny strip mall, but not hard to find. Parking is limited, but I came at a reasonable time so that I could park right up and in front. Lightly decorated, they have quite a bit of indoor eating, a humble bar or varieties, and some outdoor eating they have mostly shaded I chose to sit outside. Your menu is mostly breakfast and brunch tea, but they have a funny lunch item that I chose her chicken with black beans and rice a wonderful surprise as it was delicious. When someone from Cuban decent to see black bean on yellow rice seemed to me more than a bit strange, but it worked. I dropped the whole plate, but it was sharp. You also have a decent craft beer menu, some local, some of the larger names, and the macros so there is something for everyone. Service was friendly and sure I had what I needed and when I needed it. No complaints. Truly, this is one of these cases you come across a place that doesn't look like much from the outside, but like a book, you have to go in and try it out.

Visited Tortuga’s for lunch today. Pleasant outdoor seating and good food. Easy to find is on River Drive in Thunderbolt. Victory Drive is located right in front of the Wilmington River (Jimmie Petrea) Bridge. Had the Jerked Chicken BLT. Very delicious. The woman had the Shrimp Panini she said was excellent. It also recommends Grouper BLT (if available). The beer was cold, interesting menu and good service. What else could you ask? I give them 5 stars.

Nice little place by the water. I like the outdoor seating if you look around in the flower beds you will see fresh herbs and peppers the best part is you can tell were they were harvested atleast the basil plant I was sitting by.
