The Golden Ox - Scarborough

One of our favorite restaurants for many years. the beautiful owners were there forever, but unfortunately their customers have recently sold. our experience yesterday was not great. the mealtimes when they finally arrived were on the standard of the old, but we waited a...hour and a half on our main course and gave on the desert after 2 1/2 hours so disappointing. the restaurant is also a popular high-time resort, so I would have thought that experienced people had taken over, but it does not seem to be the case, at least not in our experience yesterday.

The staff was nice, the menu was outdated and the food was ok. we found this restaurant over travel advisers and thought the food pics looked great. the high travel advice rating, prices and photos did not match our expectations. will not be visiting again.

My man and I visited yesterday a high time in the golden ox and we were enchanted by the beautiful garden. it has a balmy tropical feeling to it and perfect for high-time ceremonies. the regency room upstairs is well furnished and the tables looked...absolutely magnificent. the food was wonderfully served directly from the hearty spears in the garden to the gast, main and dessert at the reception. the bonus for all that was the professionalism of the personals. virginia and her team did a wonderful job to make sure everyone was worried about themselves, and these warm smiles certainly made a difference. as mc for the procedure we were supplied with everything we needed, and we showed the highest respect. my man and I were so impressed that we booked for dinner in the restaurant to celebrate our jubilee ende oktober, and we look forward to it. well done, you love people, you should all be proud of what you do.

My wife and I showed up here about the weekend and were very happy with the quality of the food. we have made a last minute booking and went from our hotel to the restaurant. the employees were friendly, though in the training as we were filled with inquiries to us. to order directly after the set, but they were all very nice. the menu had an old feeling about it with some of their dishes (not a critique), and we were blown away how beautiful the food quality and taste was. they asked for feedback when we were done, what I was very respected. we would definitely return.

Myself and 2 girlfriends had lunch on Wednesday, our meals were absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing, thanks to Virginia, Nick and there wonderful staff for a truly lovely day. And the desserts were also amazing. Thank you so much, you made my friends...day.
