Unfortunately, the bar was not prepared for the sudden influx of customers and it took 30 minutes to place our orders and another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. We observed other guests waiting even longer to pay their bills. The fish and chips were disappointing, with overly hard batter and coleslaw that was hidden underneath the fries. The tartar sauce was haphazardly spread on the plate.
The portion size of the food was adequate. The quality was average. The selection of beer and wine was okay. The service was a bit slow. The French fries were thin but very tasty.
We thoroughly enjoyed the hummus and other dips on the plate with crispy flatbread. It was delicious. The beer was also excellent.
We stopped here for an evening while we stayed in Delta East for a fast family meal. The children enjoyed the children's menu Hotdogs. I had trouble finding something I wanted to eat. I was hoping for typical pub food, but it was as if they were... trying to be fancy. I had a chicken club sandwich. They didn't ask if I wanted bread in a certain way, it just came on white bread. The chicken was large pieces and not excessively warm. Overall, my meal was just fine. When I return to the Delta East, I will probably find another place to eat outside the hotel as this bar was a little disapointing
I took a few bites of the DTE’s Burger and I was so impressed with how delicious it tasted! The patty was good and the brie cheese was gooey and melted. Best of all, the brioche bun was soft and perfect. The DTE’s Burger was...made with homemade certified Angus beef patties, lettuce, chipotle aioli, tomato, brie cheese, pickled cucumber, brioche bun, and served with a choice of mixed green salad or fries or the soup of the day. The menu also recommended a cold pint of Budweiser with this burger, which is exactly what K got! The Albondigas were hand-shaped lamb meatballs with harissa gravy, salsa verde, and feta cheese. This looked really good when it arrived to the table with the feta cheese in little cubes. The lamb meatballs were huge! They were much bigger than I expected. However, I thought that they were very hard and dense; a little too hard to chew through for my taste. It wasn’t very seasoned within the meatball but relied on the harissa gravy and salsa verde for flavour. The harissa brought out the spiciness to this specialty appetizer dish. First impressions of T.W’s Bar: I was really impressed with their burger!!
