Amazing museum! There are many interesting collections in it. I would strongly recommend to visit the museum if you visit Whitby!
The park is well kept and the museum looks interesting. We didn't go inside as it was about to close 4pm sharp.
We visited one afternoon whilst staying in Whitby. The museum is accessed through the art gallery and cost a very reasonable £6 per adult. My 10 year old was free. The entrance price included an Annual pass for unlimited returns over the next 12m. The museum was a treasure trove of artefacts all nestled in one main room, with several small exhibits off it. It was charming, full to the brim of interest and we discovered a lot about Whitby's varied history. My daughter and I spent a couple of hours exploring but could easily have stayed longer.
We went to the cafe for lunch. We had visited before and knew they did delicious sandwiches and cakes and we were not disappointed. I had a goats cheese, beetroot and chilli jam roll and it was absolutely yummy and it came served with a few crisps and delicious coleslaw. The tiffin I had to follow was very moreish too.
