Restaurant & Café Herzogliche Dampfwäscherei

I was here with my friends, who I haven't seen for ever and I wasn't aware of this restaurant. eating is great. good portion sizes and local kitchen. good wine list. the prices are at the upper end (still favorable for Australian standards of this kind...restaurant), but they get good service and therefore justified. great environment with an outdoor dining area. recommended for special occasions.

My experience with this place was part of a bus tour and the bus company had selected this place. I suspect, above all, because it can keep people. I had seen this place on a previous trip and was excited to hear that our group. after our visit to Schwerins city center should go there. the place looked very attractive and beautifully decorated. our bus left us on the bus parking lot near the caffe and while we went past, we could see that the tables were already set up, including the cake pieces. I love good German places of sight, but I refused to eat everything that was on my teller, not only because it was already out there, for at least I would certainly be ready to give the place a further attempt as a single person, but as part of a larger group, not thank you.

No big veggie selection in the menu. I was really into a cep soup but they did not know whether it was veggie or not. So I ended up with a potato soup, hoping they were right when they told me it was veggie. For...the main cause I took a standard dish and gave the gamba to my colleague. Service not good knowledge of their ingredients. Location nice. My colleagues happy.

For Schwerin this is the best Restaurant in modern style, cuisine and service, hands down. All the food was perfectly prepared, local and seasonal. The service was attentive and friendly. star!

We had a fantastic lunch in this place. Very spacious with modern decor. There is also a terrace and free parking. Food is German cuisine, they use seasonal foods and all was cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly too!
